Just send him to Carolina with AJ for Svechnikov and Pesce and call it a day. Gain an additional $6 million+ of cap space and use that to sign Pietro. Would completely overhaul the right side of our defense and get a bulldog in Svechnikov who has high end upside.

I don't think he's a bitch or anything. He tries hard. He pumps his arms and shit when he skates which is what the fans love. He'll just never be worth that contract and we all knew that the day he signed it. So it's an uphill battle unfortunately.

Nothing wrong to try to get the best value you possibly can in a cap system. Mucho at 2 or 2.5 mil less is fair value. But if you don't think he provides 11 million dollar value you have to look to see what's out there. It would be irresponsible not to. He's the only guy I see on the team that's overpaid other than the captain (but NMC things) so naturally that's the guy you shop around. If you don't think you can get value back then yeah, hard pass.

I love Rielly and Marner, but man, did they ever put any time into their shots? Marner would be a good goalscorer if he even had a shot as good as say, Kerfoot.

We are missing our four guys. Particularly Soupy and Jake.

What is the status on those four guys anyways?

Kane is a much, much better skater than Marner by the way, and Kane's shot is close to being as good as Matthews.

I would love to trade Marner for Kane. Yah, yah, yah I know Kane is 30, but I think he can last another five years at this level, he is so effortless.

Marner is very much an overachiever. And boy Marner dumped his gorgeous GF for a plastic dog. Maybe that is what is bugging him.
