Other fanbases simply don’t have as many dunkable articles written about them. Like your example about going to search for articles second guessing the Habs draft pick… it looks like there just aren’t any. Not from major outlets anyway.

Yeah, or it's a mutual thing because Rindell is playing in Newfoundland and didn't leave being a top 2-3 in Finland to come over to play in the ECHL.

He's the oldest of the Euros who came across fwiw, 23 at the end of this season. Better for him to sign as a UFA in Finland for double or triple what he's making on his ELC here if he's not going to get a shot at making the NHL club any time soon.

Fwiw, it would be smart for a team with a bad pipeline to grab him. He was pretty good as a 21 yr old in Liiga, and really hasn't gotten much of a look here at all.
 
I didn’t even remember that Alex Rindell existed until right now and don’t even have any recollection of how he joined the Leaf organization.

So I’m cool with him disappearing for the sake of opening up a contract slot.

Yep. He’ll undoubtedly be the next Anton Stralman, or some shit. That’d be a nice, Leafy outcome.
 
BTW it's funny with all this talk about players leaving Dubas is ignored. I think legit chance he walks to another team. This is risky having him without a deal and the best guy available will be Chuck Fletcher after he's fired.

This is the best place to be, but if he'll have like a week from being able to talk with teams he might just do it, but like an upcoming UFA would that close.
Chuck Fletcher will be available.
