The Fantastically Beautiful Joyously Superfun 22-23 Season Celebration Thread

Yeah.

Like the O'Reilly trade, not really in love with any of the other moves. I'm sure McCabe will be fine for us, and at $2m per its hard to complain. But captain hindsight is telling me that maybe using sandin to get orlov from was instead of the McCabe trade would've been a better course of action. Not sure if that would've been an option or if we would've been better off going that route.

Hoping we add a decent f still. Kerf go pls.

Don’t watch that shit. They’ll complain all day about how they are bored and there are no trades instead of being excited about the craziest, busiest deadline in years. They have thousands of trades to talk about.

The McCabe deal was the best deal they made for me. Can potentially live up to being as good as the Muzzin trade years ago. I've quite liked him so far. Nerdies under water but + relative nerdies in toughs. Him and Brodie have been their most stable pair by a longshot imo.

Oil Change game really sewered everyones nerdies but he was their best D last night

Orlov is working out great so far for Boston but I am not going to fall for the bloated heater he is on

This annual joke about how they have nothing to talk about during the deadline got old about ten years ago. Maybe don't have a 19 hour deadline show if this happens every year.

Yeah. He’s not as good as peak Muzz but the leafs got a quality in his prime top 4 dman who can play toughs for $2m for the next 2+. That’s great value.

I think it's inexcusable to keep that first and go into the playoffs with the team as is. We aren't getting past the Bruins without another top winger and likely further depth F.

There has been a chink in the armor in the last month in play that is being propped up by goaltending. Down in the bottom of the league in 5v5 nerdies

Depth will get you through rough patches though

Just add a 20 goal winger and I feel great about this team.

that one piece allows us to drop ROR down and gives us 3 scoring lines and a much improved 4th line vs what we've had in recent years.

that also doesn't include a minor wildcard of adding Knies(viewing him as a potential bonus only)

it would sure be great if Woll could go ahead and pan out as a permanent option, too
