I really liked Carlo when he played for us. Makes me sad that he's such a fucking idiot.

The media thinks you should just scratch young players in the playoffs till their careers end I guess.
That argument was actually made last week about Woll being the #3 . Not enough "Experience" to be a 3rd goalie.
The correlation between players/ex players and their ability to coach/GM is not great.
They always fall back to puck in deep, cant teach heart , 110% bs bs bs
The players who end up in coaching are rarely the skill guys… so not believing in the gud pro bs would threaten their entire identity
Not saying it will pan out, but I feel fortunate that Martin St Louis is a skill guy with a lot of heart
The skill guys made too much coin during their careers to bother with answering questions from Steve Simmons after a tough loss for 2 millie with no job security
In some ways I'm kind of surprised (and thankful) that the media has decided to randomly underrate Leafs goaltending. Let's face it: Samsonov has been as average as it gets this year for starters.. Historically, basically at Freddy level and Fred always got Vezina hype. I get that Sammy doesn't have the track record but I'm surprised they've strayed from the "Leafs are only good because of their goalie" narrative. Not to mention their "backup" is a multi cup winning meth addict who is putting up some of the best numbers for a backup in the NHL this year. And they need to add another body to that pile, why? If you're not getting Saros or Sorokin, what's the point?
I called him dime a dozen when we traded him. Even if just for his injuries, he was worthless to me. Very similar to how I feel about Robertson now.I really liked Carlo when he played for us. Makes me sad that he's such a fucking idiot.
Antropov is an example of the guy the organization ruined, IMO. If he’d been developed properly, I don’t think it was written in stone that he’d be so injury prone.
But Carlo was 100% inherently made of glass.
