yeah, part of what hurts so much and is so upsetting is that, from this guy's perspective, the Doobie-man was like 95% of the way to having a hugely successful trade deadline, consistent with the team building vision we've all embraced. then, at the last minute, he scored like a dozen own goals and undid all the previous good work.
and again, this is coming from a guy who was not initially a fan of acquiring ROR (or McCabe for that matter). however, had they stopped after the McCabe deal, I would be fine.
it's the apparent abandonment of the focus on skill and instead filling our roster with a bunch of plugs whose only redeeming attribute is the media's perception of their grit where we lost the plot. and then the dominoes fall from there.
and the early results speak for themselves and are shit.
