Wasnt a big fan of the Mo penalty in OT. He saved a sure goal but he also put himself out of position to begin with and wandered too far from Marchand puck watching. If he is tighter to Marchand on that play there is no reason for a last ditch hook to save that play

3 on 3 has to be man to man coverage in your own zone. Cheating to hope for a turnover especially against elite players it too high risk

stuff like this shows a lot more now that the Leafs are a defensively responsible team. a lot of expensive years ahead so they better figure out a way to use him that works.
 
I'll say it again, most optimistic I've been heading into the playoffs in a long long time. Botching the deadline does not mean they have no chance and are suddenly a shit team. That's not how it works. It would take a lot of effort to turn this team into a shit one.

Tampa is simply not who they were. The leafs are flat out better than them and will be clear underdogs only vs Boston I think. They can take on anyone else quite easily (and even Boston in a 7 game sample quite frankly). Stop being baby back bitches, folks.
 
Nah they definitely botched it. They had a perfect setup and did everything so well till they fumbled the ball at the 1 yard line. But that's okay. That doesn't have to mean they suck now or that they didn't acquire important pieces. It doesn't mean that all.
