I'm leaning on no one touching him but yeah, it wouldn't be a shock. Would be a huge stick save by Dubas after that hilarious fuck up.

Would be amazing if someone takes him off our hands, but I’m not sure that’ll happen.

Seems like the smart thing to do if you’re interested is let Mimsy clear, extract something from the Leafs for taking him on, and then also have the flexibility of being able to shuffle him back and forth from the AHL for 30 days.

Though I guess the flaw with that theory is that if you’re smart, you wouldn’t be interested in Mimsy in the first place.
 
About half of the league has the cap space to absorb him straight up.

Notably Calgary, NYI, NYR. All teams that were rumoured to have contacted him in free agency. There was "lots of interest" in him during free agency according to Friedman.

It's a fair point. I think very lowly of NHL GMs but as soon as I saw this contract and the way it was structured it was dead on arrival for me. Unmovable.

BUT you make a solid point. He's tall and heavy. REALLY heavy.
 
He's shooting 2.2% this year. Unlucky as fuck. In a normal year with his career avg s% he'd have 4 goals. Which is way better than 1. That's an 11 goal pace, which is about where I had him before the season began. Hopefully teams take that into account along with his huge size and girth.
