The Fucking Season Thread - Redemption Tour '22

I wouldn't be surprised to see a team like Edmonton pick him up - he's been bad, but still better than 40% of what Edmonton roster's on a nightly basis.

Can 2022 get off to worse start? I am with Presto - the sheer comedy value is worth the cap hit.
The problem with the comedy bit is it's only funny when they're still crushing teams. When they start losing, that's when I turn on the guy. I'm glad we're leaving this relationship amicably because it could have gotten ugly between us if the team had a cold streak and he was taking a regular shift being a big ol' useless oaf. Kind of like early in the season. I started liking him when the Leafs started crushing teams.

With that said, he still may have a future with the team so I'm not gonna shut the door entirely yet.

Also gotta give it to dubes - its nice that the guy in charge can admit mistakes, and not compound them with more mistakes due to ego.
I wonder if this was even a move that Dubas necessarily pushed for at the time. Didn't feel like it was to me at the time. Either way, yeah good to see.

Ritchie ends his time as a Leaf (maybe) as the only regular Leaf to manage to post a negative xGF% this year, at 49.6%.

The next closest are Kase at 50.4% and Kampf at 51.1%, but they're only that low due to getting extreme defensive usage.

he's in charge, but in retrospect the Folignos and Mimsys are not Dubas type players. may sound like excuses for Doobs but I'd bet Shanahan/senior hockey dept members have a say in some of these moves too.
