Those are two pretty unexciting players for us to be burning Kerfoot, a 1st rounder and all of our available cap space on.

What exactly is appealing about Foligno and Nash, anyway?

I assume they must have super-awesome xgfhdcbf%, or something.

But to me, they look like expensive and declining third-line calibre players. So I don’t really understand wanting to make these guys Dubas’s one big in-season move, and pay handsomely for it.

Though in retrospect, "declining third-line calibre players" was actually an overly generous description of Foligno & Nash.

I recall not being a fan of the Foligno acquisition at the time either. Although I was probably far from its biggest hater.

I think he had no symptoms at the time of his positive test, but symptoms can come later like they did with Keefe. So he technically could be having a rough one today.

But a rapid test detecting positivity before a PCR test is unusual I think? So maybe he's clear. Most likely just being cautious and testing again.

Further credit to 101 for shitting on Barrie when the Leafs got him. The "he provides negative value both offensively and defensively at 5 on 5" take almost seemed hard to believe based on who he is but it has turned out to be accurate for both the Leafs and the Oilers.
