Maybe they can't afford him. Sadly he makes 4.6.
That organization is such a clusterfuck

Well last year Sandin was only worth "maybe" Gorgiev as per Dreger. So his value is risingKypreos was going off today saying the the leafs would need to give Sandin, a first a second and top prospect. for Chychrun WTF???
never watching Jake Gardiner play, clearlyI still can’t believe that Flames fans & media kind of hated this guy, and told us to expect Jake Gardiner 2.0 when it comes to defensive brain farts.
Still don’t know where in the hell that assessment came from.
why the apologies?Further credit to 101 for shitting on Barrie when the Leafs got him. The "he provides negative value both offensively and defensively at 5 on 5" take almost seemed hard to believe based on who he is but it has turned out to be accurate for both the Leafs and the Oilers.
Apologies for the dick sucking but I can't help but pump 101s tires briefly as these two thoughts randomly came to my head.
I feel like he changed as a player. He was more of a risky roamer type in many Flames years. I do remember a lot of more mistakes out of him as a Flame. He's ageing like fine wine tho and giving the Leafs exactly what they needed.I still can’t believe that Flames fans & media kind of hated this guy, and told us to expect Jake Gardiner 2.0 when it comes to defensive brain farts.

Compliments make me aggressively uncomfortable. Both giving and receiving. Let me deal with my problems in peace.why the apologies?
The funny part is Barrie apparently (seriously) said as an Avalanche many times that if he was on the Leafs he'd win a norris. And then he was a Leaf and his reputation was ruined! Funny how the players perceptions are consistently horribly wrong about what it's like to play D in this city.If Covid had never happened, and Tyson Barrie had either played out his contract in Colorado or been shipped off to some backwater hockey market and racked up 50+ points, he easily would have signed a seven year deal at $7M+ per season.
Amazing how badly circumstances screwed him over, and just how divorced a player’s reputation can be from the reality on the ice.
We need to a larger sample for the forwards.
