ideally, I think aim a bit higher. but crouse and clutterbuck just seem like nos.

Ya know.....Domi is at near a 20gl/50pt pace with only 1 PP pt and only 13mpg ice time. On a shittastic offense in CBJ. He's had a 70+pt season and has a 52pt pace career....and again, very little of that is PP production. And he's also a fearless prick.

And he can play C

Imma warming up to this.

After watching him in his one career playoff I'm out on Domi. I prefer someone harder that can play at both ends. No real interest in a more talented, one dimensional version of Kerf.

The most likely outcome would be a game-changing penalty or series-changing suspension IMO.

bite your tongue for wanting another Dummi here.

Under normal circumstances, I might look at a player like Max Domi and think that maybe he's a guy we could bring in on a cheap short-term contract in the summer when he's a UFA. Toronto kid, some offensive skill, and he might be open to taking the opportunity to re-establish his value as a supporting player here after bouncing around between a few bad teams.

But then I look at the name on the back of his jersey and that distinctly-shaped head and say "yeah, no thanks."

Did you guys really not like Tie as a Leaf?

I mean he's a shitty person but he was a good Leaf.

I did like him for most of his Leaf career, but when I look back at it from this vantage point now, the defining thing about his Leaf career that sticks in my memory is him single-handedly (elbowdedly?) derailing what I firmly believe would have been a series win against the Devils.

Combine that with hearing multiple first-hand accounts about what a garbage human being he is, and I don't have warm fuzzy feelings about Tie.

His job was to get punched in the face and to punch others in the face... was he supposed to be a well rounded human?

Some of the stuff I've heard about Tie goes a little further than "not a well-rounded human". And it's not like there aren't plenty of ex-hockey player face punchers renowned for being nice guys off the ice, so I'm not sure that's really a good excuse for him.

Though even with the off-ice stuff aside, his monumentally stupid fuck-up against Jersey is enough for me to no longer be a fan.

No issues with trading a 4th or 5th rounder for an established d, even a lug like schenn.

history says it’s a good idea to head into the playoffs with 8 capable dmen. And while rubins and Kral have taken some steps forward and you can live with the odd game from biega or Dahlstrom I don’t think you want any of those guys near a playoff game.

Same. I can't forgive him for that. It wiped out whatever else he did in his Leafs career.

Similar to my feelings on Kadri. Except that I liked Kadri much more, but those two suspensions really just take over my memories of his entire tenure, whether justified or not.

Would scratch a bit of a nostalgic itch to see Schenn back with us as our 7th going in.

I got to get on record that while schen did play for Tampa in the playoffs last year it was for 8gms and an 9 minutes per game. The year before it was 11gms and under 11 minutes per.

They technically played him but they sure didn't want to.
