How much more is the third pair really expected to play.I got to get on record that while schen did play for Tampa in the playoffs last year it was for 8gms and an 9 minutes per game. The year before it was 11gms and under 11 minutes per.
They technically played him but they sure didn't want to.

When it counts, Rielly, Brodie, Muzz, and Holl will be playing the most. And with Sandin and Lilly primed to take over for those latter two guys probably sooner rather than later, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually get more minutes than we'd otherwise expect.
Nothing wrong with Schenn sitting in the pressbox with Dermott until he's needed. And when he is, who really wants him playing much more than 10 minutes?
Read somewhere Campbell is .898 since Dec 1st.
Technically true but that's 15gms - a first 7gms of .922 followed by 8gms (1 only 9min) of .864.
And it's even narrower than that tbh - coming back from the break he posted a .926 in the first 4gms before plummeting to an .841 in his last 6.
15 and counting. he ain't out of it yet that I saw vs. Calgary.
obviously we love Campbell as a person so much more... but on ice, this is the exact kind of shit we bagged on Freddy for.
we haven't been making Soupvember and Soupuary type cracks is about the only major difference here
But he was penciled on the the third pair.Well for comparison, Bogo on the same team played in 20 of 25gms and averaged near 18mpg.
Bogo was a solid bottom pair guy for us last year but both our 3rd pair and our PK has been much better without him.
We should be talking about his contract now tbh.
Dubas needs to stay patient and see what happens with a full season and postseason as starter.
there is no reason to sign Campbell before then.
what are we worried about, exactly?
