If I'm Shanny, I don't know how I could hold anything against Dubas really, or expect to find someone better to replace him.
He's consistently iced a competitive team. He's weathered losses of players and cap casualties and replaced them with better personnel. He's basically had the team improve every year. Either we draw the playoff warrior vet Caps and Bruins in the first round the first few years, or we get bullshit covid 5 game nonsense versus Columbus and a Tavares/Muzzin-less loss to the shitty Habs after two lucky OT wins by them. Firing Dubas doesn't make the big 4 stand up and dominate game 7's. Only they can do that. Just keep giving them the opportunity, improving the supporting cast as best you can, and hope they rise to the occasion.
I don't want some imbecile coming in and trading Nylander for Faulk or whatever other bullshit they'd do to put their stamp on the team and make it "their own"
