The one interesting thing about Gio is I wonder if he and Brodie could recapture that year together in Calgary. They are an amazing duo.

Have Gio and Brodie as the shut down pair and have Reilly try to work things with Sandin or even Holl.

That chemistry was there between Gio and Brodie
 
Always weird to see Gio as a successful NHLer to me. Knew him as an ~13/14 year old; he had a rough year personally with his 19 year old sister dying in a car accident (she was street racing). Played in the Quebec Peewee tournament with someone I may or may not be related to; lost in the finals to Ryan Whitney's team after a cinderella run beating way better teams with Kovalchuk and some other really good NHLers who I cannot remember right now. He was a midget and their worst player by far and barely played. Next year, he dropped to A and played forward for a couple years. Forgot he existed and all of a sudden he has a growth spurt and I see he's playing in the O and then Europe and then.. The NHL?


But yeah, I actually played with him in the summer around 4-5 years ago and he is an excellent human being. I vividly remember him expressing his desire to finish his career in Toronto, so there's that.
 
Rielly can't play D anyway. Just move him to the right.
