Maybe his moves being highlighted as much as they are does cause some bias

You rarely see the financial breakdowns of other teams moves as much as the Leafs

So its possible there are other guys on par with or exceeding his abilities but we just dont see it. However I do also believe some teams dont put as much importance on the position as the Leafs do either

IMO, they're highlighted because for four years no one in the hockey world could fathom an option other than "Nylander for a defenseman".

Yeah, I'm quite sure this part is true. But "guy who had a hand in writing the cap is in fact, really good at being a capologist" shouldn't really stir up this much (or any?) debate.

The move today was like how we sometimes praise Matthews for a generic goal. When you're constantly putting up W's you deserve the recognition and appreciation. Dude has been hard at it all year doing shit that at times zeke doesn't even understand.

Leafs are indeed a good org, as such will use every sliver of advantage that they can. Never said otherwise.
 
It’s for sure by design. He must have calculated the numbers he had to give these depth/marlins guys just to have multiple options to get right to the cap.

LOL. I never said he was incapable of "calculating the numbers".

He must have done so, correctly, if I can be so bold to add.
