The Fucking Season Thread - Redemption Tour '22

My favorite is when they asked Marner after the game about Fred and how much he's looking forward to playing against him. He was like "yeah Fred is a great guy, he has been great to me and my family and I'm looking forward to it bla bla." They asked the same question to Muzzin and he was basically like "yeah I don't give a fuck, we have more important things to worry about."

Really tells you everything about those two guys and their mentalities.
 
M&M probably went out for dinner with Fred and hung out at his new crib last night. Today they will be sending cutsie "miss you bro" and "this is so weird" text messages before game time. They'll lose, Freddy will be very good. M&M will give quotes about how it was "emotional" seeing Freddy at the other end of the rink.

As their plane takes off for Chicago, they'll stare out the window as they send a few more texts. "Great game tonight big Danish. Call of Duty after we land?" "You're still coming to Arizona for Christmas right? J to the B is coming!"
 
Have they hung out with Patty Marleau lately or made funny faces in photos to post online?

I ripped Mitch for taking photos in a pool and having them posted online right after they choked against the Habs and everyone disagreed with me that it wasn't a big deal. The guy has admitted he gets upset at the crap said about him. He really should use more smarts in his quotes and what he posts then.
 
I'm still okay with him using a pool in the summer. Crosby does as well I'm sure. And honestly I'm okay with all of it. It doesn't make him a bad guy; just a terrible competitor and a baby back bitch.
 
Everyone is aware so many top teams stink. That doesn't mean we can't shit on how lazy they look. Leafs have more pressure on them than any team and they have themselves to blame for that.

It’s taken a lot of practice over the years, but in the end, it’s a pretty simple formula.

You just come up with the thing the Leafs could do in any given situation that’d be as humiliating as possible for the team and its fans, and then realize that they’re going to do that thing.
 
I really dont think it can actually get any lower than it did against the zamboni driver.
this team has already been at the bottom of the pathetic barrel. Loosing tonight at the hands of the danish twat is not going to come even close to the zamboni driver.
i find what is indeed eerie as fuck, is that it's against the same team.

so, my grandma has a friend who lives in a ritzy condo building in Toronto. the other day she saw Felix, Matty's pooch, being supervised at reception, and learned that apparently Freddy, feet for hands, and Matty all lived in the same building...

I would just be a little more aware of things if I was these guys. It happens everywhere. But they are now in a different situation than a lot of markets.

I'll tell you who's not doing that shit. John Tavares, for one. Nylander seems like another who would balk at shit like this.

Matty and Marner are two of a kind, and starting to look like the worst influences on each other. Two insanely talented guys who came in at the same time and torched the league in their sleep. So they develop these egos and personas, and there may be no stopping that train now. Seemed to me like Matty had his head screwed on straight - warrior mentality, never cracked a smile on the ice, and would go through a brick wall to win. Marner isn't all that different, but the clown antics he brings on and off the ice are fucking bush league garbage, and I think they've rubbed off on Matty a bit.

I mean, maybe we just need some fucking scoring and winning to erase all this negativity, but for now it does fucking piss me off that they cozy up with a goalie they need to light up today while they're in a fucked up embarrassing funk to start the season.
