I’ve never seen so much negative vibes about this team. And I’ve been witness to some truly shit years. These guys are getting zero love right now.
It’s actually pretty shit because I know for a fact we lose any Marner trade we make. There is zero chance we get a player as good as him.
Usually guys at work are more optimistic. I’ve never seen so many people sick of the team.

I’ll be pretty sad to see him go. We might get a guy that “fits” better in the fans eyes. Someone tough and gritty and scores greasy goals. But I have no doubt Marner will beast it elsewhere. Even less doubt he’d torch us for 4 points every game he’s back here.

Can't trade the core. And as long as Dubas is here, he won't, especially since Nylander is actually the best and most cost efficient of them all. If Dubie does down though, the next guy is going to go to town with trades to make the Leafs his own in a way that would make Simon Cowell proud. That's why as much as I'm pissed at what's going on, I don't want any major shakeups. Just keep nibbling around the edges until the core steps up, or doesn't. Ride or die with this version, but start making some moves soon if this continues to get ahead of guys like Muzzin and Holl becoming useless while still Leafs.
