The Fucking Season Thread - Redemption Tour '22

I'll give credit to the Leafs media, who usually do nothing but mock or hate on the Leafs. From what I've seen they've been angry about the entire situation too on the Twitters.
 
I'm worried Dubie might overcorrect to address this issue, but we need a murderer on this team. A lunatic that nobody on the other team wants to have take their number. We can be as strong as we want, but when some fuck goes after Matthews like that, we need a killer to respond in kind. If they hide Dubois on the bench, Scheifele will do just fine. But someone will need to pay, in game, without delay. Simmonds beating up on some nobody doesn't address shit. We saw the video of them in the locker room afterwards, yukking it up. They need to be beaten down and livid, regardless of the score.

This doesn't mean more fucking Kyle Clifford. This means some fuck who is programmed to become unhinged if he sees any of the star players taking abuse. Corey Perry doesn't get to play in the rest of that series last year for health reasons, if the guy I'm talking about was on that team. That's the #1 area to address frankly, even more than another scoring winger.

Good question. I haven't researched psychos who can play. But it doesn't even need to be some big goon.

Tom Wilson comes to mind, even though he's gooney. Kadri was a great headcase in that department. Marchand is the type of guy who will spear you "accidentally" in a scrum. Tkachuk is an asswipe. I realize none of these guys are available, but we have to find that guy. Tucker was a big part of our success back in the Sundin era. We have to have someone who can bring that element somehow.

Rich Clune has that psycho cocaine energy. But I think he's only on an AHL contract?

I have to say, having never had a knee on knee personally, hope I never do, I've never quite understood the damage that gets sustained in these collisions given all the padding between the two players.
 
If Matthews two handed Dubois in the throat he'd think twice next time. Not sure having another player on the team will protect the stars. They have to protect themselves. Guys like Sid, Ovie, Kucherov, Marchand are dirty fucks.

It's gotta be someone who can play. Gary Roberts would never tolerate what happened last night. Tucker would bash some skulls, smash people through some boards. There's no room for a useless body. It doesn't have to be a top sixer, but it can't be some AHL level plug.
