Tbh that nerdie part was crucial. Many people out there fall into the lazy narrative of the Leafs being shit defensively, stars being floaters, etc. But this guy just provided clean, crisp data to prove that garbage wrong. I like that. A man that recognizes that he's dumb. Trust the data, folks.

Yeah, as far as the Dubas family is concerned, they should be able to go about their day to day lives there without most people knowing or caring who they are.

Also quite a bit less pressure when you’re trying to wring the last bit of success out of a core that’s already won three Cups vs the accumulated weight of historical failure and modern failure in Toronto.

If that’s what Kyle & the Dubas family want, more power to them. Better for both sides that he move on (or at least it would’ve been if Shanny hadn’t hired a complete shmuck nepo baby to replace him).
