Reeves feels like one of those guys that has a very strange bidding war and ends up getting a silly deal.

Simmonds was seemingly known to be a roasted entity.

I'm old enough to remember Connor Brown dragging down every line he played on possession-wise in his last stint with the Leafs. Maybe he improved but I'm not seeing much evidence of that other than the year he shot 17% and scored 21 goals. On the Leafs when he isn't playing 20mpg he's a 10-15 goal 30-35 point guy. So Kerfoot. Kill penalties and stuff too. With a risk of him not playing last year.

Better be cheap. But I'd much prefer they fill those roles internally. Slot a McMann type in that spot.
