The Mother-fucking goddamn Off-season Thread

Tidy work on max and Tyler. Plant the seed; we’ll be waiting. easily could have panicked and overshot. But got their two guys for the term they wanted. That’s huge.

meanwhile with those signings they addressed all of their holes up front - lw, scoring depth, toughness/jam all went from big holes to strengths.

Nice presser. You can really tell he isn't all that happy with his D. Which is valid. Neither am I. But he doesn't strike me as a guy who will make a move just to make a move. He showed some real nice patience and restraint with Bert and Domi.
His hands are pretty tied. The only d he can move out to clear any sort of space is Brodie (or Mo but I’m assuming that isn’t 8n the cards).

So who are the realistic 2/3 centre types from bad teams that we should be following/tracking for the trade deadline?

Record with Holmberg in the lineup at 4C last year: 25-8-4.

They can do it again. 3C is a nice to have but not a must-have I think, especially since that line will be insulated with better wingers than last year. My only real concern is d. But might as well let it play out.
Yep - holmberg kampf is a ugly 3l 4l C pairing if your wingers are lafferty, acciari, ZAR and Kerfoot. Not nearly as ugly when you have guys like domi, knies and Robertson in the mix.

I like Woll btw. Gives me Pricer lite vibes when it comes to positioning, economy of movement and composure

Another thing nobody has brought up- what if they really like woll? They’d need another proven body but maybe they can leverage Sammy’s big season into a big return.

Though I do fear we have seen the end of Lilly. That’ll be a mistake.

I mean we only have 7 D, and only 3 that are reliably top 4. Brad admitted that Klingberg wasnt exactly a shoo in top 4 guy at this point. And Brad had Rasmus Andersson, who is as good a comp for Lilly as anyone.
