Neither could Matty or Marner so far. A different letter on the jersey doesn’t mean much. Tavares came exactly as advertised and exceeded most naysayer expectations by still being extremely productive in year 5 of 7. This concept of one player “leading” the rest of the team, and when the team falls short, it’s on that one player…is ridiculous.
