He picked the coach. This was his bullet after firing Babcock. Why are we expecting different results now?
 
I wonder if more will come from the Sandin/Washington trade? Like, I wonder if the Leafs were looking for a player in return, but couldn't agree on terms and/or the Leafs couldn't make the money work in the end? Maybe there is a draft day deal that sees a piece come back for that 1st round pick?

I have seen the future, and nope.
 
That trade was dog shit. What a waste of time. How do you not use Sandin to improve the roster immediately? Wasted all that time developing him only to reset that timeline with a 1st rounder? Why even bother?

let’s not get started on all the draft picks he’s burned on garbage rentals every trade deadline. Foligno, Plekanec, Rittich, Boyle. All garbage. Taking the Murray contract. Willingly.

this guy sucks.

The Sandin and Engvall trades were two of the low key worst fucking deals we've done in the last decade, and sadly both happened on the same day, and both fucked us in these playoffs.

I'll never forget seeing it mentioned here first while I was in London and seeing Presty correctly predict that I would lose my shit over it once I saw the news.

I still don't get those deals. They were completely out of character for him.

But everyone's entitled to some fuck ups in a job that inevitably lends itself to human error.

I'm sure he regrets those deals and I think there's a good chance he'd course correct, which I'd prefer to try than to hand the reins to some new guy who is an unknown commodity.
 
Think it was Jeffler who mentioned the Leafs should look at Andrew Brunette

No idea who was the mastermind behind the Devils nerdies this year but if it was him he may be worth looking at
 
Did the unthinkable and turned on 590 while driving home. They talked about Quenneville as a possibility. Obviously a great resume. Is he a dinosaur or you think he could work some magic on this team?
