yeah it's nice that someone laid out the leafs' excellent cap position for everyone to see.

what I found most interesting though is the tidbits he seems to be picking up on from his inside viewpoint...

1. Acciari and Schenn the most likely UFA to come back, and at similar prices as last year.
2. Murray won't be back, period.
3. Muzzin can't play, period.
4. It is very, very likely that at least one of Mitch or Willy get traded.

when they ditched Quinn, I said there was a much bigger chance of getting a downgrade than an upgrade, and I kinda feel the same way here.....except this time I have much more faith in ownership being a modern professional outfit than back then, so i'm optimistic they'll get someone good.

of course, we're gonna hear a shit tonne of old school names being floated for the job and I am gonna shit my pants on every one of them until we finally make a hire.

If you read the body language and heard them speak, both Bunting and ROR sounded halfway out the door already. Maybe they’d already had extension talks and knew the offers were nowhere near what they’d take.
