I agree that there is more to this than what we’re getting from shanahan, but it’s not hard to see why shanahan got some cold feet about paying the guy $30m.

if I had to guess, the idea it was a done deal is misleading…and the money gap is blown out of proportion, but it prob came down to asking for more power when it came to trades/signings.

The most logical answer to Shanny making such a hard turn…isn’t the presser, the ghosting, or money….it’d be protecting his own power, imo.
