Tried to catch up here and just wanted to add a thought.

Let's say Dubas gets the Pitts job, and he is told to rebuild quickly...

Would MLSE approach Dubas to see if Crosby is up for that? and would they take Marner for Crosby if Sid agreed?

Two years of Crosby would be unreal.

Fucking Hoss is trying to will more shit into existence. But if it went like the Schenn conjuring went, then Marner will go on to get a career ending injury and Crosby will lift at least 2 cups in Toronto.

I’d be surprised if he’s moved anywhere but LAK or NYR
 
Definitely a limited market with the hit but if they can work out an extension a lot of teams would move mountains to get him

Saying that I still think he extends when the dust settles from all this bs but it would be a death blow to the team letting him get to July 1st when his NMC kicks in

Fully agree with you

I just think the list of teams willing to surrender the assets to get Matthews and Matthews willing to extend with is LA and NYR, no one is dealing for a rental. I can squint and see maybe CHI or PHI but really they should probably hang onto their young assets
 
What was the context where he mentioned "you're not going to see me popping up somewhere else"? What was the question, anyone remember?
