The Mother-fucking goddamn Off-season Thread

Lots of ways to spend money on good players, not just free agency. Teams are giving away good players with reasonable 2 year deals.

I don’t think there is any shortage of good players available.

Signing Reaves is giving me Marc Bergevin flashbacks. He probably suggested it to Shanahan during their zoom call.

If you don't want them to sign any of the expensive UFAs then I don’t get the crying.
You are towing the line of being such a contrarian that you'd defend 3 years for Ryan Reeves

I knew you had balls, but how dare you in this sensitive state of the board?

I want them to target a couple 4-5 m dollar guys either through free agency or trade then fill out the rest with cheap value players.

I think that's what you want too. Reaves doesn't fit. Be upset about the signing you thought was ridiculous yesterday, flip flopper.

For the record I'd be very happy if they signed Bertuzzi to a nice contract. I simply provided a case to not to too crazy because the contract won't be without risk. He's a one dimensional player. But if that's the big fish they're targeting then that's a good thing. Not crying over their interest.

But there are plenty of nice guys available, many that will go for way cheaper and potentially provide as much value. Use your analytics department and find value.

Even if you can accept 500K over market for a 4th liner is, fine? It is completely reasonable to be upset that the front office appears to have looked at the bottom 6 and decided moar size less skill was the way to go. They appear poised to give a combined 7 years to two players with absolute zero offensive skill
