I'm not as confident in that but I hope he plays well enough to make it a non-question. He had a stretch of 9 solid games but that's not enough of a sample for me to feel good that he will 100% be a regular. I don't think he was very good in the NHL before those 9 games.

And I'm no big Dermott fan, but I don't think it's out of the question to say that he's a better 5 on 5 player than Raz at this stage.

You dont replace your top PP unit D when a #6 defender comes back into the lineup. If keefe even had the thought to take sandin out we would see rielly/muzzin on the power play

Sandin Dermott and bogo have received similar qoc this year 5v5 and sandin stands out a notch or two above the other two who are neck and neck.

Sandin also might be our best pp qb and bogo likely one of our better pk guys so can't see dermott staying in

agreed with why it will be bogo and Sandin if no injuries

Yeah all I'm asking for is a larger sample. He had a great stretch. And even then he's a kid and kids often sit games. Dermott will get some looks even if Raz plays well surely.

I mean I wasn't gonna judge Fred off one AHL game, won't judge Carey off it either. Having said that, would love for him to get shelled.

So, Price let in goals on his third and fourth shots against, but stopped the next 13.

And Hutch pitches a 39-save shutout for the win, to follow up a 41-save victory on Friday where he allowed two goals.

Hutch should be our backup btw.

I don't love it, but it's hard to argue it's not true.

At the end of the day, he put up a .919 SV and a winning record through eight games with the Leafs this year. He's also strung together a bit of a hot streak to end the year with these two games in the AHL and stopping 32 of 34 shots against Calgary in his final NHL game of the year.

That's a lot more promising than anything we've seen from Rittich in either Calgary or Toronto, or from Fred.

It'd be a hell of a ballsy move to hand the backup goalie's ballcap to Hutch though, and park Fred's bloated ego in the press box along with the guy Dubas paid a 3rd rounder to rent at the deadline. Don't think I see it happening.
