I’m shocked. I thought for sure in the moment that he had a fractured skull or a broken orbital bone.
That it’s “only” what appears to be a severe concussion is a big bullet dodged.

Glad it’s not worse - like fractures, brain bleed/swelling - but I see a lot of people responding on Twitter to this saying he’s okay and that seems a bit premature.

Yeah brain stuff can be complicated, even concussions which we see quite a few of often have permanent effects.

“OK” is relative.
He’s definitely not “Ok” in the sense that he’ll be coming back anytime soon, or even at all this season.
But it looks like he’s “Ok” in the sense that there’s no imminent risk of death or severe disability. Which was definitely an open question last night.

I kind of knew he was okay. Maybe because I’ve had a couple of scary incidents like that myself and was shockingly fine afterwards. He’s out indefinitely in the sense that they need to watch him for a bit, but this guy is a gamer and I bet he’s already trying to figure out how quickly he can return.
In the meantime, fuck the Habs.
