The Motherfucking 2021 Season Thread

I think he should prove himself by backstopping the Marlies to the Calder Cup, and then, when that is over with, we can entertain starting for the Leafs again.
 
Its at times like this that I wish David Rittich was better than David Rittich. It's going to be hard for this organization to not have Freddy leap frog Rittich if he's remotely healthy and "ready". It will similarly be easy for Keefe give Freddy a shot the first time Jack has a bad game.
 
Well then it'll just be up to Jack to never have a bad game again!

And for all the Dubas fireable offense stuff we heard all year long, there hasn't been enough praise for him landing Campbell. Up there as one of his best moves ever.

I feel I can read Dubas & Keefe's intentions with most players pretty well, but I have no goddamn idea what their thinking is when it comes to the net. Not with how much rope Fred got from them prior to sitting out.

I wouldn't put it past them to turn to Fred quickly if Campbell hits a rough patch or gets injured. That's why I wanted him gone and replaced with another legit goalie for this run. So all that's left is crossing our fingers and hoping the good, healthy version of Jack holds up.

I'm a bit nervous for this too.
 
I think we should be able to beat any opponent in the North in a 7 game series, but the goal is four rounds and I suspect Campbell's going to have an off night at some point - all I'm saying is I hope he's earned a bit of leash.

some not so pretty numbers from some new lines we've kinda liked:

Thornton-Brooks-Spezza 36.8xgf%

Sandin-Dermott 43.8xgf%


The Sandin-Dermott one is more surprising as both of them have excellent individual numbers.
