That's an entry level IT job salary without considering the cut. And these players are amongst the best in the world in what they do.

Sort of puts things in perspective. It's a huge risk putting kids on path for professional sports. Injuries too along the way.

Yeah, that'd mean some of these guys would be making just a little over $30K in Canadian dollars this year before taxes. Pretty tough to get by on that in a city like Toronto even as a single guy, let alone for any of the players that have families.
 
So we just finished up our toughest stretch of the season - 16gms in 30 days.

It was supposed to be 17gms but the Canucks rescheduling saved us a game.

We went 10-3-3 in those 16gms.

Now we get to finish up with a leisurely 8gms in 21 days.
 
Be nice for everyone to get their first vaccine shots in the upcoming weeks. Hopefully help a bit and less likely a Vancouver situation if an outbreak occurs (symptoms arent as bad)

It really is quite unbelievable. And most thought they were better than the Leafs before the season started.

These are all upgrades, but for whatever reason, replacing Freddie the Goat with a guy who's the same size as him and makes the same money, but is a hall-of-famer is the one that makes me laugh.

It also seems unbelievable in retrospect that Goat hung along for as long as he did as our 11th-13th forward.

For a while, it looked like he might not even catch on anywhere this year. He had to wait until a couple of days before the season started until the Coyotes signed him to a two-way contract. And aside from a couple of games, he's spent the entire year in the AHL.

Within the next couple of years, I wouldn't be all that surprised if he's either over in Europe or retired.
