It's boring around here.

So HFtards gave me an idea. Rank the top 15 players on the Leafs-Habs-Sens. You can split em into forwards/defense or not. Go crazy.

1. Erik Karlsson
2. Phil Kessel
3. Dion Phaneuf
4. Jason Spezza
5. PK Subban
6. Andrei Markov
7. Joffery Lupul

11. James Reimer
12. Jake Gardiner
13. Carey Price
14. Bobby Ryan

Well I guess the whole point of this exercise is to argue with each other.

I would have Spezza #1. He's the only guy on the list that has played at a hundred point pace ever.

Karlsson is #2, arguably #1.

Phaneuf belongs nowhere near #3, and I'd have Ryan, PK and TheThrill fight it out for the rest of the top 5.

Don't care about the rest.

Kessel and Ryan don't have to fight for anything. They're not close even if you're generous and use a three year split.

3 Year Split:
Kessel 212gp 89g 198pts (82gp 34g 77pts)
Ryan 210gp 76g 158pts (82gp 30g 62pts)

2 Year Split:
Kessel 130gp 57g 134pts (82gp 36g 85pts)
Ryan 128gp 42g 87pts (82gp 27g 56pts)

Kessel is arguably #1 at this point. By far the best 2 year splits of anyone on any of the teams.

He's the only guy on that list that has had 2 elite seasons in the last 2 years.

if your basis for putting spezza #1 is what he did in 2006 then dion phaneuf is an easy #2.

will be very interesting to do these lists again after this season, a lot of questions will be answered for all 3 teams, especially Leafs and sens.

and yet he was 4th overall in scoring in the last full season he played, and the highest ranked forward on your list.

and yet Kessel is the 4th highest scorer in hockey over the last TWO seasons, and I have him behind Phaneuf and behind Spezza.
