You could... but that would be stupid. Karlsson was not good in yhat series at all. His offensive game was solid but the rrst of his game was atrocious. I mean even worse than normal.

I'm gonna go on the record and say pageau ain't giroux. That being said, he is going to be a very valuable player for us as early as this year. The kid has it. He's smart as a whip, feisty, very quick, he's always on the puck, he can shoot, and check.

So what? What's your point? Hamel can't skate anywhere near as well as pageau. He wasnt a guy who ever projected to be a two way skating, checking, scoring, faceoff winning, penalty killing NHL forward. This comparison is as stupid as the ranger methot comparison. You guys are really off today.

You may have said already, and i simply missed it......but in your opinion which NHL'er past or present, do you feel Pageau is (a) most comparable to, and (b) his career trajectory is most likely to mimic?

That couldn't keep up in the NHL. Shaun Van Allen was also a dominant AHL player.
The similarities between Pageau and Giroux are almost eerie.
- Both smaller guys
- Both are from Ottawa
- Both played for the Gatineau Olympiques
Maybe he'll be closer to Briere as he is a Center, and a pretty good one at that.
He has all but made the team.

I think he could be a poor man's Marty st.louis. Not as fast or strong or as much scoring, but similar type players. Small centre men who are very smart, very gritty, who can skate and score and play on both special teams and make people around them better.
Don't misunderstand- he ain't gonna be st.louis. But they are similar players who kinda do similar things.

Actually, briere might not be a bad comparison either. He's a poor man's briere or st.louis.
