They cut and run on Trubisky and Mason Rudolph is an FA. They were hoping to sign MR but paying Wilson at basically league minimum is perfect. Broncos are covering the rest. Bless them lol. Hopefully is wasn’t just Pickett but that plus the atrocious play calling which wasn’t built to the team strengths.
 
So what are the Bears going to do? Will they draft Caleb and trade Fields?

I really hope they trade down and keep Fields.

I don't follow college ball and I hadn't heard that he was a generational talent. I've heard some negative things about his character... Not that I trust everything I hear about that type of stuff. If he's generational... Then it's an absolute no brainer... Take him.

He seems to be in that Andrew Luck class of QB.

Ive heard the character stuff too, but for me it comes down to a talent and economic decision.

You cant pass on this guy

This is a fantastic addition for the Steelers. Wilson can win in the right kind of system and especially on a team that is defense-first like Pittsburgh. Pickett is no match for the Josh Allen's, Lamar Jackson's and Patrick Mahomes' of the AFC but in the right system Wilson can hang with them. He was ill-suited to the way the Broncos play. Barring injury he's going to do really well in black and gold.

Lets not be racist morons.


Wilson is an upgrade on maybe the worst QB room in the NFL, but he's still fairly washed. He can make the Steelers a playoff team, but hang with Allen/Lamar etc, no.
