I joked about it yesterday but now that it's real I'm betting Bergevin does emerge as a favorite. Recent cup run with retreads, has over a decade experience in a hockey mad town and well it's a fuck you to the Habs.

I dunno that Tampa’s deadline moves necessarily mean Darche doesn’t share some of those team building ideas.

the fact Shanny claims to have wanted Dubas back the entire time, should be a good sign that he stays on that track….but I’ll be pretty concerned until it’s done.

Give me someone that has a balance of both analytics and a pulse on team/character. It’s almost as if Shanny should just be the guy making the decisions.

I don’t want just a nerd. I want a guy that understands hockey while also being a nerd. Does that exist?

the more i think about it, the more i'd be shocked if any GM came in and tried to move any of the core.

how could any of them not think "let me have a crack with that core i'm pretty sure i can make it work".

I'm feeling the same. Can't win that trade really, can only lose it and start your tenure off with a big fat thud.

And there are so many spots open and money to play with, and more crowd-friendly fish to fry like Murray.

The fear is that the new GM treats Nylander like dubas/shanny treated Kessel upon arrival. Though I bet that trade was a Babcock request.
