Would you feel better spending 6m for 4 or 5 years on Kuemper? Or 5x5 on Jack? Or trading a 1st for Varlamov?

I just don't see any good options. And honestly, look around the league. I'm not confident with any teams goaltendings outside of maybe a handful of teams.

I don't want any of those. If I had to pick one, I'd go 5x5 on Jack, and feel sick about it for 5 years.

Np. I can't justify going 6m for a guy that just pulled off a .902 in the playoffs. And 4-5 years at that AAV for a 32 year old seems nuts. That's the kind of contract that could cost them one of their core guys.

BUT if you trust that he'll provide good goaltending maybe it's worth it. There are no easy answers. I get #bothsides.

You KNOW he's going to be garbage for us. You just know it. It's the Leafy thing. All these Euro guys we've gotten to play net for us over the years, they don't come with any mental toughness in there. They get broken so easily.
