Do you think they should have extended the twins or let them walk?
 
Singing the twins was a no brainer and they actually signed the to a great deal for the team. Gillis is brutal though. His handling of the Luongo situation was unbelievably bad. They should have taken what they could get for Luongo last year and avoided all the drama... and they'd still have one of the best young goalies in the league.

Same with the Kesler situation... he totally blew it again.

Kessler is not a deal you make at the deadline , he is under contract and you wait til the draft and summer to dump him when teams have a better understanding of their cap , draft position and you have more time to maximize your return . Agreed they fked up on the Luongo move but I thought did great on the Schneider trade , Horvat is a future captain and leader in the mold of Bergeron .
Overvalued his team big time and waited too long to retool.
 
I don't blame Snow for how bad he is. I blame Charles Wang. He hired his back up goalie to be his GM. Snow was smart to accept!

Snow is still an idiot though. If he had two brain cells to rub together, he would have surrounded himself with capable staff. He should have a cap-oligist, and ex-gm or or assistant, anyone with experience. All that being said, I would not put it past Wang to not allow that kind of support. I see Wang as a fan who wants a GM that will be his puppet. Snow has two choices, be a puppet GM, or unemployed.
