Trade Deadline 2014

Gillis is worse. He's a trained lawyer/agent that should know what he is doing. Snow was a backup goalie.

What Gillis is doing is far more egregious than Snow. Anything Snow does is really on Wang for hiring a yes man.

I wondered how snow could survive as many as years?
 
Gillis is ruining what was a half decent team.

Snow is just compounding what was already problematic.

Personally, I think Gillis is doing the worse job at the moment

You're not held to a lower standard as an NHL GM because of your background. There's one standard for all NHL GM's: NHL GM. As an aside, however, Snow has an MBA. He's not just some dumb ex-jock . . . like MB (I kid).

Gillis clearly overrated his team and should of realized the window to win was closed 2 years ago . That`s when he should of started retooling and getting ahead of the curve , getting value for some vets and move on.

This team is maybe 2 years away from the same fk up as the Flames who waited too long to rebuild and hit rock bottom .

shit combo of aging vets in decline, mid vets underachieving and they are making hefty salaries
 
There were tweets from the Pitt beat reporter, Pens brass felt Gillis was veoted by ownership, who wanted to take their chances at collecting playoff $$, and let a deal go down at draft time/in the summer.

At least Snow has balls. Vanek backfired and he overpaid. But cripes he's playing in a swamp, has to do something to get out.
Gillis is a grade A beef who thinks he's so much smarter than everyone. He'll probably trade Kessler in exactly 12 months for half of what Anaheim begged him to take yesterday. Something about learning from the past, lest we are destined to repeat it.
 
Aren't the Islander moving to Brooklyn next year? I thought all their issues would be solved and players would take discounts to play there.

That's the other thing...Snow is trying to be pro active so that the organization can make that move with a playoff team

He tried but as mentioned his moves are backfiring
