Honestly an underwhelming training camp for Slaf might be the best thing for the long run. No temptation to rush him in the lineup. He needs some time in the AHL.

We could draft Bedard next year and the usual few will say, Another small player? Why can't we draft a good one with size??

I was at the game Slaf and Mesar are raw and need time

The raw tools are there to work with , Mesar has excellent wheels

Roster turnover for the forwards is just starting, so I’m not too worried about that. They need to cull.

I’m more interested in the D where spots are available for the “next generation”. Do they look like they are up to the task, etc.

Yup , a few more years to keep purging the roster

I hope the D can stabilize in a few years with Guhle and others taking a bigger role

Mesar showed a few flashes though, so that was nice to see.
