Habs News & Notes: Training Camp 2015

"This team needs to be bigger and tougher to play against." -Marc Bergevin, summer 2013.

Indeed.

Paul byron is a possession beast. Elite at preventing the other team from getting shots despite high defensive zone starts.... and decent at helping to generate offense. I think he looks great on a line with mitchell and one of dsp/flynn

Would you say he fits this team better than Kassian playing on 4th line ?

You guys need to give it a rest. I'd rather have a 5'7" guy with some skills than an huge pylon. Size is not EVERYTHING. If a guy has size but no talent, he is more than useless.

He doesn't have to be 6'5", 220lbs but could he at least be NORMAL, AVERAGE SIZE??? I could live with 5'11", 190lbs.

5'7", 153lbs is small even for women's hockey, ffs!

So if he is so good why did Calgary waive him?

Not sure. He was outstanding for them in the first half of last year. Got a sports hernia was out of the lineup and hartley never put him back in.

While most Players on waivers are crap... occasionally teams have waived useful guys beforw and will do so again.

I think hes a nice bottom 6 addition. 4th line to start, can play third when we have injuries.
