Big day I'm announcing my retirement from the NHL. Wanted to share some thoughts with you

Bergevin was sending a message to Kassian today of course but he was also sending a message to all his players too.
 
Let's not overreact, I doubt he's the only one of our players going around town at 6am, but he got caught and he already had a reputation so I'm fully expecting a suspension to send a message. But he'll be back on the roster in 5-6 weeks.

The Habs played Saturday night in Ottawa. By the time they were showered, dressed, bussed to the airport, flown back to Montreal. and bussed again out to the Brossard practice facility to pick up their personal vehicles, it had to be past midnight. The only thing Kassian should have had on his mind at that point was going to bed and catching some sleep. Instead he decided he'd catch last call and pick up some bar skanks.
 
If they spoke to him when he got here not to be partying, this is a different story and it's indefensible.

Trading for him was always cute seeing as how Bergevin loves himself character players but Kassian is anything but that. At the very least he got someone to take Prust and we got a fifth too.

Chip Kelly is very big into the whole "character" issue with players too. How's that working out for him so far? Just saying.

It's easy to go on and on about character until you're desperately shopping for something you need (big dude with scoring touch) but can't afford or find.

Just like legoalie who went on and on about how the Hawks won because of character. Meanwhile, Patrick Kane couldn't find character if he life depended on it.

But anyway, if Kassian was the price to pay to get rid of Prust, then so be it.

Yup. Never seen character score a goal.

Alex Semin is the same thing. Not an ounce of character in him.

Yep. Prust's game has been declining for years and he was a pending UFA. Low risk trade.
