a 1st and prospect would be on the SHIT end of the acceptable return spectrum. Muzz is an all around, legit shutdown top-4 d-man. He is mean and truculent and has great nerdies. Only concerns are age/decline. Presto's hypothesis would be the low end of what we could expect to recoup. Physical shutdown d-men with puck skills are super coveted.

I am super high on Lilly. Raz to me seems like his ceiling is a 'Mo lite'. Which is totally superfluous when you have the OG Mo on your roster.

just Raz. no fit for him so long as we have Mo here. too good for bottom pair (and will be paid like it soon), but not strong enough to handle the toughs.

I think both Ras and Liljegren have to been mainstays on the blueline this year, no matter what happens. I'm just more sure about Liljegren being in this lineup longterm compared to Sandin at this moment. Bridge Sandin, lock up Liljegren long term.
 
I mean Toews is probably the "right type" of player to bump JT to the wing. But probably not the guy the Leafs actually want.

It's too funny. Sandin is a Mo-lite. Okay, say he is, why don't we want that? Why would it be redundant to have another guy who could put up 50 points from the blueline in his sleep and play solid, if unspectacular or not perfect D?

Sign him for 5 years and $3m based on the Mo-lite comp and laugh all the way to the bank like we did on Mo's 6 year deal.
