the bozos had a golden opportunity to nip this in the bud and deal with it head on.

"we are acquiring Whit. we've discussed vaxxing and he's gonna do it". that puts this all to bed immediately. they didn't do that. seems absurd not to if they had already discussed/resolved, but what the hell do I know.

The other thing would be to just not acquire anti-vax bozos in the first place.

I never said they owed one.

Just that given the information available to us to date, I think the inferences drawn by the majority re: Whit's vax status/any discussions around it pre-trade are reasonable and for the reasons explained I don't agree with BBWs.

and whether they owe one or not, not giving one (or giving the lacklustre shit that they did), when everyone is aware of the issue, leads to speculation like this.
 
The Yanks are like the Avs this year. We already know they’re going to the finals. Probably can’t disagree with them not selling off the entire farm for this year. They likely just thought Groshans was a bust that they had to convert into something decent to good now, or they’d have kept him too.

I don't how people can listen to Shatkins and not understand that they are probably anal retentive enough fit somewhere on the Asperger scale...it's one thing to disagree, think it won't work, yeah sure...quite another to believe they made a trade being unaware of a players status.

But, there are people who think Trump won the election.

I don't have to have faith in their decisions...I can hate them...and still believe they are intelligent.

key distinction here - nobody is suggesting, to my knowledge at least, that shapkins were not aware of Whit's vax status. that's not what is at issue.

I mean, they don't operate in a vacuum...so while I still find it strange to think that it's not as bad as believing these guys did not have a sheet on every player in the league.

They flat out said they haven’t spoken to him. All they know is he said he’d consider getting vaxxed if necessary to play in the playoffs.
