2023-24 Canes Misc Thread

Are you asking how much those might cost if those tickets made it to the general public? Fan Zone (Sections 308-320) 1st round playoff tix for full STMs are $40 each base price. I would guess those would be $60-80 each for the general public before taxes and fees and all that fun Ticketbastard nonsense. That would be a total guess on my part. As mentioned above, STMs no longer get extra playoff tickets at a discount. The only advantage we have is we get early access to buy them and I think we get a break on the fees.
Yeah was just trying to get a feel for upper level Fan Zone section tickets for general public pricing tomorrow if anything was left...

FWIW, if you retained money on Kotkaniemi, there would be a pretty good market. He's not wildly over-paid and would be a very attractive 3C option for most of the league if his AAV was in the $3.75-$4.00 million range. That would be a LOT cheaper than buying him out.

If I get a chance, I'll check around Noon and touch base. No promises ... my work week got unexpectedly compressed. Next week too, for that matter.

KK might end up getting scratched in this year's playoffs if everyone is healthy.
Since he got shoved out to wing on Drury’s line, that’s entirely possible. Who does RBA trust more, KK or Fast? I think we know the answer.

The puzzling thing about KK is his size and strength at center on a third line is great when the give-a-shit meter is high and he's doing his thing, but that motor just does not seem to rev at a high speed enough of the time...

KK's contract was not unreasonable, so he could be moved elsewhere if another team is willing to give him a chance. I kept hoping he would turn his game around, but he has not risen above basic mediocrity for a long time now. It's time to turn the page.

I know Montreal fans will have a field day if and when this happens.

Kid just over-thinks the game when he's struggling.

Base price for cheapest upper level seats for Round 1 are $65 for Games 1 and 2, $70 for Game 3, and $85 for Game 7. ($85 became like $103 after taxes and fees)

If anyone bought four upper level tickets for game one that are looking to sell let me know. I doubt there will be much left tomorrow for public sale so I will likely hit the resale market on Ticketbastard.

I think I can get you 4 upper level game 1... The offer says 6 max and I already have 4 total but 2 were the STM tix I already had prior to this sale. PM me if you want me to proceed and where. Most blocks of 4 that are left are in either end zone in top 4-6 rows.

Thank you Bill for the offer, was able to get a youth hockey friend to get in there for me this afternoon!

Just checked, it’s mostly singles now, except for the last 3 rows of the Fan Zone. There are seats in the back rows of the shoot twice corners for $75.

This! 100% this. Hell, even HCRBA has come right out and said that Jesperi is playing great, he's just not showing up on the score sheet. And you can see it in his game, the dude has skills, big skills but he just needs to get out of his own head. The skill that flashes out from time to time is why the Canes took a chance on him and I will never be mad that this franchise actually took a shot at someone that could be real, albeit undeveloped, talent.

Yeah ... got rolling on something right at noon and never even got a chance to browse playoff ticket prices. Oops.

Another aspect that I think he struggles with is not relying on his skills when he can rely on his smarts and physicality. He's got hands and sees the ice really well, but too often is tempted into the risky, tricky play ... and the more he presses to make stuff happen, the more he turns the puck over needlessly. He's got a good frame, a hard nose and a good sense of attacking positioning. The tantalizing part is that he's oh, so very close to being what you want him to be like 85% of the time. He might never get there, who knows? But if he does he's going to be a freaking bargain for somebody as a 2 way secondary center.
