2024 Draft

Anyone who supported Covid mandates which caused Count any measure of inconvenience when he was trying to vacation abroad or eat in a restaurant was, by his definition, smug and woke.

I don't know what Zeke's views were on the wuhan flu but I assume they were "if the govt tells me it is good for me, then ok, fuck with me"

The problem for those 2 years is that is if you thought critically, you realized they were putting one over on you, I wish I were a drone that just believed all I was told about everything.

as for the main topic at hand, McNagg is now pushing for Sennecke, and if we were take him, it would be a massive reach as he is listed at 13 in Bob's rankings which as we all know are gospel.

I don't know about "massive". Boisvert concurred. As he said, OHL players are easier to project than players from other leagues. That's why the vast majority of your top centers come from the OHL, not the Q or the Dub.

That might change between now and the draft. Might be a reach at 5, but would not be surprised to see him crack top 10.

There are obviously exceptions but scouting today seems much more "accurate" that it was when Kilger was drafted, especially in the first couple of rounds. Maybe it's because of the use of analytics, and personality tests, etc., and kids generally train better today on and off the ice, but there just don't seem to be as many "busts" anymore in the first 15 picks or so as there were before. And yes, I know we drafted KK and Chucky at no. 3, relatively recently . . . but that was by a different administration that I think went a little more on "gut feeling" than the current one.
