OT: American Politics

I mean I support this in theory. there's just no good explanation for his comments about globalize the intifada - again, either indefensible naivety, or malice.

Did he actually use that phrase of his own volition or was he just asked to condemn it and didn't?

twas kind of the latter. he was asked his thoughts on that phrase and 'from the river to the sea'

"But when Miller asked Mamdani about the pro-Palestine slogan “Globalize the intifada,” the candidate’s pragmatism and intellectual humility evaporated. “To me, ultimately, what I hear in so many is a desperate desire for equality and equal rights in standing up for Palestinian human rights,” he said."

Atlantic Story

he also compared 'globalize the intifada' to the Warsaw uprising, which I find quite problematic

so yeah...

a) i find it a bit annoying in general that there's a foreign policy anti-palestine litmus test for NYC mayor;
b) i don't blame him for trying to focus the issue on the rights of palestinians, neither personally or politically.

BUT, i would like to see the quote about the warsaw uprising.
