If he stays healthy for the year i have no problem signing him to 3 years, maybe 4... as many have said on here, sometimes we have to go for the home run.. a healthy Monahan for 3 years maybe 4 would be a homerun..
I am just a fan of hockey.. I have the NHL package so i watch games all the time.. if a game is boring i just switch to another game.. having said that.. i do follow some teams more than others..ie: Avs . Kings , Oilers, and Dallas
He is fearless.. but his injuries stem from getting hit on the hands which could happen to any player whether fearless or not.. Like I said Hindsight 20/20
He signed at 28.. the contract is to 34. Based on Gally fitness level I thought he be good until 32 - 33.. maybe the full length of the contract.. $6,500,000 cap hit for a guy that scores 30 goals with his leadership qualities was fair for me.. no one would of guess that his career would be...

This is Sports.. I do not wish bad things to happen to any player, but that doesn't mean I want the Leafs, Bruins etc to win... Misery loves company lol
The injury was fluke ..not because he lost the fight.. Reaves is 36 ,,he is playing on reputation.. sooner or later the bad ass guys always tumble.. this is 5 years too late for the Leafs.. he doesn't even get a full season in this year.. that is my bet.. he will be like George Parros was...
Did the Leafs sign Reaves to 3 years? LOL... 2 years too long, and he will be ok for the regular season but not the playoffs when it counts. This is typical Treliving style...
