2019-20 Canes Miscellaneous News Thread

The David Ayres media tour is in full swing. Canes Director of Communications and Team Services, Pace Sagester, is meeting him in New York tomorrow and will document the day for the website.

 
It’s interesting that they have not already called up a D but have already called up the goalies. Can we read anything into this?

Have we heard anything beyond the postgame on 22?

If he can’t go we are going to need someone for sure and based on RB comments I’m not thinking he’s going to be available.
 
good idea to send the PR guy to help him out on the NYC trip.

On Today show 5 minutes which is an eternity for that type show. I recorded it and will watch later

I like how people are saying the Leafs threw the game. They could have lit him up for 20 goals but pulled up on him.

If that's the story they're sticking to, then it could have ended up 21-20 in the Canes favor, but the Canes knew that a game like that would be bad for hockey, so they concentrated on playing defense after getting the lead.
 
Both goalies and Pesce out for a significant amount of time. Mrzaek has a concussion so I guess he might be the first back. Pesce is shoulder issue which has happened before.
 
Do we know Pesce is OUT long term? Or is it a long term issue -as in something he’s been dealing with and will maybe need offseason surgery? I’m assuming he’s out but do we know that?
