He’s in a world of trouble beyond that. The Slugs have $29.5 million tied up in 4 forwards in 2010-21, the only forwards under contract; Eichel, Skinner, Okposo and Johansson. And he has the $800k per season buyout of Cody Hodgson for 3 more years. Their cap hit in 2019-20 was $400k higher than the Canes.

Islanders are without a home for now, Nassau Coliseum is closing until they can find a new business to run it. It's now run by the Russian who formerly owned the Nets. Maybe the NHL can run it until the new Long Island place opens.

He’s looking to unload it. Supposedly, he’ll turn over the keys for the assumption of $100 million in loans. There is also the possibility of surrendering it to the lenders. The Islanders may end up playing a lame duck season in Brooklyn after all.

I'm not sure they have the lease terms at Barklay's to do that without renegotiating and paying through the nose. It might be cheaper to pick up the $100 million loan on Nassau and hope you can unload it later ... especially if the County would cut them a break on lease payments.He’s looking to unload it. They could play in Greensboro next year. 
The Slugs are really cleaning house. Rochester Amerks coach Chris Taylor has been fired. He was there for 3 years and had a 2nd and 3rd place finish in their division in the 2 full seasons and was 3rd this year. As an organization though, the Amerks haven’t gotten out of the first round since 2005. Assistant coaches Gord Dineen and Toby Petersen were also whacked.
They also released the Director of AmateurnScouting and a good chunk of the amateur scouting staff, according to Elliotte Friedman. So heading into the draft, they have no director of scouting, few scouts and a GM who has been on the business, not hockey side. Helluva plan.

This is my shocked face. McKee and Barnababy may have been trying to change the culture, but on a team where Guest was 1 of only 3 16 year olds, with 4 undrafted 20 year olds playing out the string, he had no chance.

The Pegula’s have run that team into the ground, giving the controls to Kim Pegula was a huge mistake, and it sounds like they want to run that management team in Buffalo as lean as possible moving forward. Good Luck Kevyn!
