Habs select Logan Mailloux, that is the kind of PR that no team needs, I don’t care what kind of hockey player the kid might be, drafting him in the first round right now is a powder keg move.

Given hockey’s issues with predatory coaches in juniors that continues to make headlines, the current situation in Chicago, the tone deafness of this pick by MTL, I find myself stunned. These are not isolated incidents, this is a pattern— because the NHL is not making enough progress to maintain a standard of integrity. In no way should Chicago be investigating themselves— get an outside firm paid for by the league. Address (firmly) the expectations of players versus some warped view of masculinity through a combined effort between the league and the PA. It’s too easy to treat these situations as one-offs, but they’re not…

3rd "junior" draft pick in a row, 2nd from FIN... and the first forward... since we are (predictably) hitting FIN again, hope we don't regret not taking Aatu Raty who fell from projections but went 1 pick later at 52.

A guy who can do THAT ... waiving my hands at that video ... but who also needs to learn how to defend a bit. Prototypical Canes 2nd rounder, in other words.
